LOST MIND
OVERCOME (2023, 7:30, UK)
Overcome is a short experimental AI film that immerses viewers in a mesmerizing stream of AI-generated hallucinations, visions, and dreams, blurring the lines between reality, imagination, and the virtual. A surreal exploration of transhumanism, digital consciousness, and shifting identities, the film reveals a world where the boundaries of body, mind, and machine dissolve into one fluid existence. Through ever-morphing figures and landscapes, humanity and technology intertwine. Themes of mortality and rebirth emerge as characters transcend physical limits, suggesting a future where identity is not fixed but in constant evolution. Relationships shift, power dynamics collapse, and virtual intimacy blurs the line between connection and alienation.
The relentless pulse of hard techno music—Karthago by ORYMA (https://sound.aryacuna.com/karthago)—drives the visual journey forward. Its hypnotic, pounding beat mirrors the urgency and emotional chaos of the digital age, propelling the film's narrative of transformation and reckoning. Each image surges and swells like a fleeting dream, alive with energy, beauty, and tension. Overcome is a sensory odyssey that challenges perception, celebrates transformation, and
contemplates a future where technology expands—and tests—the limits of humanity. It is a vision of a world where utopia and dystopia collide, and where rebirth may only come through embracing the unknown.
Winner - mayor of Wroclaw award at Kinomural festival, Poland, October 19-20 2024.
SOMEWHERE WE LIVE IN LITTLE LOOPS
(2020, UK, 5 minutes)
A machine-learning based video-prediction technology learns and then re-creates a string of nature scenes and human life images. Woven together in a rhythmic, hypnotic pace, visual snippets and motion patterns appear, reborn and fall apart. The video segments begin "normally" and are then being continued by the computing process to become a "new normal". The result is surprising, eerie and poetic, raising both concerns and wonder regarding human-machine relationships, and future effects.

MIND/MIRROR
Video Installation (1 or 6 screens), 2024
MIND/MIRROR is an urgent reflection on the power of advanced AI to produce large quantities of impactful art, fed by historical datasets of visual culture and combined with and ignited by the human artist’s imagination. It also references the vast distribution & consumption of video on social media platforms. The ‘wall’ of the video installation is an expansion of the ‘wall’ of media content we’re scrolling through on our phones. It’s an expression of the video bombardment by social media applications so prominent in our lives, both evolving and paralysing us.
A celebration of the current visual richness and the interconnectedness of our digital lives, the work invites contemplation on the role of technology and art in shaping our perception of the world and provides a visually captivating and thought-provoking experience for those who engage with it.
Presentations:
EpsomDX - a pioneering community engagement agency hosting digital immersive experiences in outdoor physical locations. Seven screens of six videos from the full MIND/MIRROR installation are installed in Madans Walk, Epsom UK, along an 18th-century brick wall. The video artworks will be revealed upon pointing the phone camera at specific locations, appearing on the smartphone’s screen as if existing in real space. Viewers will be able to inspect the screens from all angles and distances, while approaching, circling, and moving away from the artwork, all through the EpsomDX application.

Description
The Cycles of Creation entity, composed as for now from a feature project and a short film, serves as a reflection on Artificial Intelligence. Meticulously crafted through an intricate process involving machine-learning models like text-to-image, text-to-text, and text-to-voice, the film weaves a narrative that connects past stories and ancient myths to contemporary perspectives and glimpses into the future. This AI fantasy, born from the very mechanics of artificial intelligence, serves as a thought-provoking exploration, shedding light on ecological concerns surrounding our planet, technology, and the human species
